Raza Nehru Trofeo Barco en Punnamada, Alappuzha es una de las regatas más importantes y coloridas en Kerala. Es un evento de renombre mundial, que se celebra anualmente el segundo sábado del mes de agosto en el lago Punnamada en Alappuzha.
El evento más prestigioso e interesante entre las razas es la competencia de la "Chundan Vallam" o los barcos de serpientes. Estos barcos majestuosos que miden una longitud de 30 a 60 metros (más de 100 pies) con una proa levantada, son bastante impresionantes y pueden albergar alrededor de 100 remeros, 4 timoneles y 25 líderes de la alegría.
